Stepping Out On Faith

Starting a business has always been a dream of mine, but I didn’t always know what kind of business I’d like to have. Until recently, all I really knew was that I wanted to help people to be the best that they could be. After all, serving others has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember.

When I first discovered life coaching, I assumed that it was for people who had no idea what they wanted to do with their lives. Though there are many who coach around life’s purpose, there’s so much more to it.  The more I learned about coaching, the more I wanted to know, so I actively sought a life coach of my own.

The coach that God sent me was someone I knew well — a sister I had mentored and served with in our church. Once I partnered with her, I quickly discovered that this is hard work, but the pay off is worth the effort. What I learned from that experience is that I can stretch beyond my perceived limits and that nothing changes is nothing changes. I’m so thankful to Life Coach Charlene for helping me to get out of my own way so that I can serve you better.

Every single experience I’ve had thus far is coming together now like pieces to a jigsaw puzzle. At first, I had a few inside pieces, and then I found a few straight edges. I pieced all those together, not knowing how large the final product would be. So I thought about the size of my dreams and spread out the pieces a little further. Eventually, I had a handful of assorted pieces from my various experiences, and I added those to this unfinished work of art. My dreams were beginning to come alive, and God was surely on my side, so I made a promise to do whatever would please him. I figured that if God had already equipped me to help others realize their dreams, then I had better find the remaining pieces to this very large puzzle.

There are five important things for living a successful and fulfilling life: never stop dreaming, never stop believing, never give up, never stop trying, and never stop learning. ~Roy Bennett

As I prayed about the missing puzzle pieces, God revealed that there was only one piece missing, and it was a really big piece. I needed to carve out some precious time to take a few classes. Knowing how little time I have, I knew that I’d have to sacrifice my family time. I spoke to my husband about it because it would affect him most, and as expected, he fully supported my dream of helping others grow through Life Coaching.

I’m pleased and grateful to God for his vision and provision, and I’m excited to launch Better Twogether, LLC — my labor of love where I’ll steward my gifts to help my clients move from where they are to where they want to go.
